The plumbing program at Renaissance Technical Institute, helped me to enhance my plumbing abilities and gain confidence in myself. My Guidance Counselor at my school told me about Renaissance Technical Institute (RTI). I came to RTI during my last year of high school. During that year I was able to obtain my high school diploma in my school and my plumbing level one diploma at Renaissance Technical Institute. RTI placed me in a paid internship in a plumbing company where later I was hired as a fulltime employee. Now I am working as a plumber helper and I am attending college too. Thanks to Renaissance Technical Institute, I’m able to work, go to college and have a job that allows me to help my parents’ costs and my regular expenses.
Renaissance Technical Institute allowed me to gain new knowledge in the field of plumbing. It also gave me an opportunity to interact with other people. I feel prepared and optimistic about my future after finishing the course at Renaissance Technical Institute.
What I learned from attending the program at Renaissance Technical Institute was how to use various tools used in the field for plumbing and learn about tools that I’ve never seen in my life and be able to use them
Coming to Renaissance Technical Institute was one of the best decisions I could have made. The teacher was very informative and didn’t mind helping if you did not understand. I had a wonderful experience at this program and I am definitely coming back for another course.

I found out about Renaissance Technical Institute through a school I attend. I applied online and then I received an email saying I was accepted at RTI. The challenge that I faced and I had to over come was the language barrier with myself speaking Spanish and most of my classmate speaking English. I told myself I can do this and I achieved it.
My experience at Renaissance Technical Institute was a work in progress. I found out about RTI when I signed up for the Tasc classes in September of 2017. I was introduced to Bruce the HVAC instructor who was and still is very friendly. I took my GED classes in the morning, I also studied in the evening and then I went to HVAC class during the night. I am proud of myself for following through and finally graduating. I was told I killed two birds with one stone. I am very thankful for the things I learned and the people I met. I learned so much and grew so much. I thank David, Bruce and Tony. Without Tony and God none of this would be possible.
I have been in the United States for three years. I came from Ecuador with a lot of dreams and plans to enhance my life and the lives of my family members. Taking HVAC classes at Renaissance Technical Institute was a difficult challenge for me because my English knowledge is very low and I had some difficulties understanding the teacher and following the class, but I never missed a class. At one point I talked to Mr. Hiraldo the Director of Renaissance Technical Institute and I told him that I have to drop out from the class because the English was too advance for me. Mr. Hiraldo told me not to drop out of the class that he will talk to the teacher, to speak slowly and use videos from You Tube that are related to the lessons that way I and the other students can see what the lessons are really about. I was able to complete the HVAC class, Renaissance Technical Institute helped me to get a job. Now I am working with an HVAC company with union benefits and making three times more than what I was doing as a dishwasher ten month ago.
I came to Renaissance Technical Institute, to better my knowledge as an HVAC Technician. I began working in the field a few years before starting the classes, although I have gained knowledge and experience form working in the field but with the help of Renaissance Technical Institute I’ve learned to perform better and understand the operation of multiple parts and units.
